Presence Report
How we score
A Presence Report gives a business three separate numbers. Each one measures a different thing and is fixed a different way, so we never add them together, average them or rank anyone by a combination of them.
Site Quality
Out of 100: Search Readiness (50) plus Experience (50). What Google can read from your pages and what happens when someone lands on them.
Fixed by a better website.
Findability
Out of 100. “Photos: can new customers find your door?” Google’s Street View, your exterior photo and your entrance photo.
Fixed by uploading the right photos.
Market Position
Out of 100: Rankings (60) plus Reputation (40). Where you appear in Google Maps results, and your rating, review count and how recent your reviews are.
Earned over time.
Why three numbers, not one
A single “presence score” would let a new website appear to fix reviews it cannot fix, or let good reviews hide a broken website. Keeping the numbers apart means each one tells you what to do next.
Site Quality
We read your home page and up to four pages it links to (about, services or menu, contact, FAQ), plus a Google PageSpeed test of the home page on a phone. Each check passes or fails and carries a weight; Search Readiness and Experience are each scaled to 50.
If we could not read your site (it blocked automated readers, timed out, or showed a challenge page), the affected checks are marked not measured and no number is given. That is not a low score.
Findability
Three checks, each graded missing, weak, usable or strong (0, 33, 67 or 100), then averaged. A check we could not measure is left out rather than counted as zero. Google’s Street View is never counted as your own photo.
Shared reports list what we found (for example “entrance photo: missing”) but never show Google photos.
Market Position
| Part | Points | How it is judged |
|---|---|---|
| Rankings | 60 | Your position in Google Maps results for searches like “dentist in your area”. Top three earns full credit; positions 4 to 10 earn half. |
| Rating | 16 | 4.0 or higher. |
| Review count | 14 | 25 reviews or more. |
| Review recency | 10 | Newest review within 90 days. |
Some reports do not measure rankings. Those show Reputation on its own, out of 40, labelled “rankings not measured”. It is never shown as a Market Position number.
We use counts and dates only: shared reports never show review text or reviewer names.
Quick fixes on your Google listing
A short checklist with no number: your listing links to your own website, has a phone number, has hours and has a description. None of these change any score.
Grades
Each number gets a word: Excellent (90+), Good (75+), Fair (55+), Poor (35+), Critical (below 35).
What we promise
- No dollar figures and no guesses about lost revenue.
- Every check shows its evidence: where we looked and on what date.
- The same inputs always give the same result.
- Every report is dated, has a “Correct something” link and a “Remove this business” link, and is kept out of search engines.
